Biography

Carlos Litulo is a freelance photojournalist based in Mozambique working on humanitarian, social projects and covers current affairs in Africa. He developed passion for photography after taking two basic courses in 1999 and at Monitor International School and Focus School of Photography in Mozambique and Brazil respectively. He participated in the World Press Photo workshop on photographing climate change in Ethiopia and is currently enrolled in a World Press Photo pilot education project based in Manila.

Carlos has been working actively as a photojournalist since 2000. His work has been published in international magazines and newspapers including Time magazine, Stern, Lexpress, New Internationalist, Le Monde, The Times, among others. His work has also been exhibited in Mozambique, Holland, Belgium, South Africa and Zimbabwe. He has also been commissioned by international organisations such as The British Council, BHP Billiton, Ernst & Young , UNICEF, Venice Arts, among others. He also teaches photography and photojournalism for beginners and youngsters in Mozambique.
