This British Council Arts workshop took place between November and April 2008. Six teams of UK and Vietnamese artists take a close look at the daily life of Hanoian people with a view to capturing the essence of this diverse city.

Taking inspiration for James Joyce "Dubliners" the six teams of writers and photographers each took a physical space or community within the city and set out using words, photographs, video and sound to tell the everyday stories of the people they encountered.

This website was used for the work in practice. A place where the artists could communicate with each, share ideas, trails and tribulations. It also allowed the UK artists to keep in close touch with the Vietnamese teams throughout the workshop period.

The final project was an exhibition, a physical and e-book.
